Oatmeal In a Jar–What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking #5

WIN_20140811_094620 (2)The last couple of days I have had no desire to make anything to take to work for lunch. So I turned to one of my favorite blogs, The Oatmeal Artist, to provide some inspiration.

Lauren Smith’s blog, if you can’t tell, is dedicated to oatmeal. Not the packets, but actual oatmeal made with real fruits and vegetables. You wouldn’t think there would be so many unique flavors of oatmeal out there but Lauren keeps coming up with new and very creative ways to make oatmeal a part of your day.

Lauren has 3 ways to make oatmeal, baked, stovetop, and my personal favorite, oat meal in a jar. Well, Lauren calls it refrigerator oatmeal. The hardest part about refrigerator oatmeal is remembering to make it a few hours before you need it. It really is best if it sits overnight.

Much like the picture I posted, the recipes I have clicked on are not specifically oatmeal in a jar recipes.  I have made them oatmeal in a jar by increasing the milk to 1/2 to 1 cup.
